2. Product
81 Everyday Friction Points is an English-language digital PDF containing 98 pages.
The purchase is for digital content only. No physical product will be shipped.
The PDF is designed to be opened using a standard PDF-compatible browser or PDF reader on commonly used computers, tablets and smartphones.
No special hardware is required beyond a device and software capable of opening a standard PDF file.
The product is not supplied with digital rights management unless expressly stated before purchase.
3. Price
The price payable is the total price displayed to you before you place the order.
The checkout will display the applicable currency, price, taxes and any other mandatory charges before the order is submitted.
Prices may be changed for future purchases. A price change does not affect an order that has already been completed.
No physical delivery charges apply to this digital product.
4. Ordering and contract formation
The ordering process is completed through Shopify checkout.
Before submitting an order, you are given an opportunity to review the product and the total amount payable.
By using the final checkout function indicating an obligation to pay, you submit a binding order.
A contract between you and Saintti Oy is formed when your order is accepted and an order confirmation is issued, unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
If an order cannot be accepted because of a technical error, suspected fraud, legal restriction or another legitimate reason, Saintti Oy may refuse or cancel the order. If payment has already been collected and the order is cancelled, the amount paid will be refunded as required by applicable law.
5. Payment
The payment methods available to you are those displayed in Shopify checkout at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed through third-party payment services made available through Shopify.
Saintti Oy does not receive or store your full payment-card number.
Your payment provider may apply its own terms, security checks and authentication requirements.
6. Digital delivery
Following successful payment, the digital PDF is normally delivered automatically and without undue delay using Shopify's digital-product delivery functionality.
A download or access link is sent to the email address provided during checkout.
Digital delivery is considered to have taken place when the digital content is made available to you electronically.
You are responsible for providing a functioning email address and for checking any spam or filtering folders that may affect delivery of transactional email.
If you do not receive access to the purchased PDF or the supplied download link does not function, contact support@81everydayfrictions.com.
You should retain your own copy of the downloaded PDF. Unless expressly promised otherwise, Saintti Oy does not guarantee that a particular download link will remain hosted indefinitely.
This does not limit your statutory rights if the digital content has not been properly delivered.
7. Immediate delivery and withdrawal rights
Because this is digital content delivered electronically, special rules may apply to statutory withdrawal or cancellation rights.
Where applicable law allows a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right to be lost when digital delivery begins, we request your explicit consent to immediate delivery before checkout and your acknowledgement that the applicable withdrawal or cancellation right will be lost once delivery begins.
Where such consent or acknowledgement has not validly been obtained, or where applicable law does not permit the relevant right to be waived or lost, your statutory rights remain unaffected.
Further information is provided in the Digital Product & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in this section affects statutory rights relating to defective, non-conforming or undelivered digital content.
8. Personal-use licence
Your purchase grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and non-sublicensable licence to use the PDF for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may download the PDF to your own personal devices, retain reasonable personal backup copies and print a copy for your own personal use.
You may not, except where applicable law expressly permits:
- share or distribute the PDF or substantial portions of it to other persons;
- upload the PDF to public or shared websites, file-sharing services, forums or repositories;
- sell, rent, license, sublicense or otherwise commercially distribute the PDF;
- reproduce the PDF for distribution to others;
- remove copyright or proprietary notices for the purpose of misrepresenting ownership;
- use the content as part of another commercial product offered for sale or distribution.
Purchasing the PDF does not transfer ownership of any intellectual-property rights in the product.
9. Intellectual property
Copyright and other intellectual-property rights in 81 Everyday Friction Points, its text, layout and other original content are owned by, or validly licensed to, Saintti Oy or the relevant rights holder.
All rights not expressly granted under these Terms are reserved.
Nothing in these Terms restricts uses that cannot lawfully be restricted under applicable copyright or consumer law.
10. Nature and scope of the guide
The guide provides general educational and informational content concerning everyday thinking, behaviour and decision-making.
It is not therapy, medical care, a diagnosis, legal advice, financial advice, safety advice or a substitute for services provided by an appropriately qualified professional.
You remain responsible for decisions you make based on your individual circumstances.
Saintti Oy does not promise or guarantee any particular personal, professional, financial, health or other outcome from using the guide.
This section does not affect Saintti Oy's obligation to provide digital content that conforms to its description and to applicable consumer-law requirements.
11. Conformity and statutory defect rights
Saintti Oy is responsible for the conformity of the digital content in accordance with applicable mandatory consumer law.
The digital content must correspond to what was agreed and to the description provided before purchase, including its relevant functionality and compatibility.
If the digital content is not delivered, is defective, does not conform to the contract or cannot be accessed as promised, please contact support@81everydayfrictions.com.
Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, statutory remedies may include delivery of the content, bringing the content into conformity, a price reduction, termination of the contract, a refund, or compensation where legally available.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts those mandatory remedies.
12. Reasonable limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer-protection rights.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saintti Oy is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was concluded.
The product is supplied for personal consumer use. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Saintti Oy is not responsible for business losses, lost profits, lost business opportunities or other commercial losses arising from use of the product by a consumer for business purposes.
These limitations do not excuse Saintti Oy from its obligation to deliver the purchased digital content or from liability for defects or other matters for which liability cannot lawfully be limited.
13. Order confirmation and records
After purchase, an order confirmation is sent electronically to the email address supplied during checkout.
Where legally required, the confirmation includes or is accompanied by information concerning the transaction, digital delivery and the consumer's request for immediate delivery and acknowledgement concerning any applicable withdrawal right.
Saintti Oy may retain order, delivery and consent records as necessary to perform the contract, comply with legal obligations and demonstrate compliance with consumer-protection requirements.
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Complaints and customer service
If you have a problem with an order, payment, delivery or the digital content, please contact Saintti Oy at:
support@81everydayfrictions.com
We will handle consumer complaints within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law.
15. Alternative dispute resolution
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly with Saintti Oy, a consumer may have the right to refer the matter to an appropriate out-of-court dispute-resolution body.
For consumers in Finland, the competent body is the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
Before bringing a matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, consumers are generally advised to contact the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority's Consumer Advisory Services.
Consumers in other countries may also have access to competent consumer-advice or alternative dispute-resolution bodies under the law applicable to them.
16. Applicable law
These Terms and contracts with Saintti Oy are governed by Finnish law.
However, if you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any protection provided by mandatory provisions of the law that would otherwise apply to you, including mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of habitual residence where applicable.
17. Courts and jurisdiction
Any dispute may be brought before a court that has jurisdiction under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to bring proceedings exclusively in Finland where mandatory consumer-law or jurisdiction rules give the consumer the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
18. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will apply only to the extent legally permitted and the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
19. Changes to these Terms
Saintti Oy may update these Terms for future purchases where reasonably necessary, including because of changes in law, services or business operations.
The Terms applicable to an order are the Terms in effect when that order is placed, subject to mandatory law.
Changes will not retroactively reduce statutory or contractual rights relating to an order already completed.
